Launching an AI product is one thing. Helping enterprise buyers understand why they need it is another.
Turbotic approached What a Story to create a 60-second explainer video for the launch of its AI Assistant. The objective was to simplify a sophisticated enterprise solution into a compelling story that would resonate with business analysts, consultants, solution architects, sourcing managers, and other decision-makers across mid-sized and enterprise organizations.
The product itself was built to help professionals create role-specific AI assistants capable of analyzing operational data, generating structured business outputs, and improving day-to-day productivity. While the platform offered significant value, communicating that value quickly and clearly was the real challenge.
Our goal was to create an explainer video that demonstrated how Turbotic AI fits naturally into enterprise workflows while reinforcing the trust and professionalism expected by business audiences.
About Turbotic
Turbotic develops AI-powered automation solutions that help organizations transform operational data into structured, business-ready outputs.
Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Turbotic AI allows businesses to create personalized assistants tailored to specific roles and workflows.
Whether it's supporting consultants, business analysts, sourcing managers, or solution architects, the platform enables teams to analyze information from multiple data sources and generate consistent outputs such as business cases, technical documentation, vendor evaluations, and investment memorandums - all within a secure enterprise environment.
With the launch of its AI Assistant, Turbotic needed a video that could communicate these capabilities without overwhelming viewers with technical terminology.
The Challenge We Faced
Enterprise AI products often solve complex problems, but explaining those solutions in a concise and engaging way is rarely straightforward.
Turbotic's AI Assistant combines multiple capabilities into a single platform, allowing users to build personalized assistants that work with their existing documents, tools, and operational data. Condensing that value proposition into a one-minute story required careful planning.
Another challenge was positioning the product against growing interest in general AI tools. Many potential customers naturally questioned whether they could simply rely on solutions like ChatGPT.
The video needed to explain that Turbotic wasn't designed to be another generic AI assistant - it was purpose-built for enterprise workflows, structured outputs, and role-specific business processes.
Trust was equally important. Enterprise buyers expect AI solutions to operate securely within existing business environments, so the messaging needed to communicate reliability while keeping the narrative simple and approachable.
On top of these creative challenges, the entire project had to be completed within a strict five-week production timeline.
Defining the Core Message
Before developing the storyboard, our team identified one message that would guide every creative decision:
Turbotic AI isn't just another AI tool. It's a personal AI assistant built specifically for enterprise professionals.
Instead of focusing on technical specifications, we focused on business outcomes.
The story begins with a familiar challenge - spending hours searching through scattered, unstructured data - before introducing Turbotic AI as a smarter way to work.
From there, the narrative demonstrates how users can build assistants tailored to their own responsibilities, turning raw information into ready-to-use deliverables that fit naturally into existing workflows.
This approach made the product easier to understand while keeping the messaging relevant for the people most likely to use it.
Our Creative Approach
Our objective wasn't to explain every feature. It was to help viewers immediately recognize how the product could improve their daily work.
The script focused on relatable business scenarios instead of technical language. Rather than discussing AI models or automation frameworks, the video highlighted practical outcomes such as creating business cases, technical documentation, vendor comparisons, and investment memorandums.
Visually, we followed Turbotic's brand guidelines by adopting a clean, light-themed design system supported by custom UI elements, stylized documents, and simplified workflow animations.
Instead of filling each scene with complex dashboards, we carefully selected the information shown on screen, allowing viewers to follow the story without distraction.
Every animation was designed to reinforce the narration, ensuring the product remained the hero throughout the video.
Refining the Script
The script went through several refinements as the story evolved.
One of the biggest improvements involved expanding the use-case section to demonstrate how different professionals could apply Turbotic AI in their everyday work. Showing role-specific examples made the product feel more practical and relatable than simply listing features.
The team also made smaller adjustments to improve technical accuracy. For example, terminology such as "AI automation plan" was updated to "AI and automation plan", ensuring the messaging better reflected the platform's capabilities.
Each revision brought the narrative closer to its ultimate goal: making a sophisticated AI solution feel clear, practical, and immediately valuable.
Design, Animation & Production

Visualizing enterprise AI presents a unique creative challenge because much of the product's value exists behind the scenes.
Our design team developed custom interface elements inspired by Turbotic's product while creating visual representations of documents, connected systems, and information flowing between business tools.
One of the most challenging sequences involved illustrating how the platform analyzes operational data and transforms it into structured outputs. Multiple iterations helped simplify these workflows without losing technical credibility.
The ending also evolved during production. Based on client feedback, stock imagery was replaced with actual product interface screens, creating a stronger connection between the animation and the real software.
These refinements gave the final video a more authentic and product-focused finish.
Behind the Scenes
Every production comes with unexpected moments.
During the storyboard phase, Creative Director Ruchi suffered a broken arm in a motorbike accident. Despite the injury, she continued leading storyboard presentations and overseeing the project's creative direction.
Thanks to close collaboration across the team, production continued without interruption, and the project was successfully delivered within the original five-week schedule.
It's a reminder that successful creative work isn't just about animation - it's also about teamwork, planning, and staying committed when circumstances change.
Final Thoughts
Enterprise software doesn't need more complicated explanations - it needs better storytelling.
For Turbotic, success depended on communicating a sophisticated AI platform in a way that enterprise professionals could understand within seconds.
By focusing on real business problems, role-specific workflows, and practical outcomes, we created an explainer that presents the product with clarity while maintaining the credibility expected by enterprise buyers.
At What a Story, we believe the best explainer videos don't just describe products - they help people understand why those products matter.
That's exactly what this project set out to accomplish.
